Mandal Marina is situated in Mandalselva and is centrally placed in relation to the city's facilities. The marina is attended during summer from 15 June to 15 August when the service building is open between 08:00 and 21:00 with access to showers, toilets and laundry. Your septic may be pumped out at Nautic Marine near the entry to Mandalselva.
Payment for an overnight stay is via machines using card or coins. Mooring is free during daytime between 08:00 and 18:00.
Mandal has Sjøsanden which is often described as Norway's best beach. It is nearly 1 km long and within walking distance from the marina.
Furulunden is a recreation area which surrounds Sjøsanden with many tracks for hiking.
Mandal has several cultural activities such as galleries and museums. It is worth mentioning the old and dignified holiday place which belonged to Lord Salvesen at Risøbank (Furulunden) now used as a gallery and cafe during summer.
Another special attraction is North Europe's best preserved spinning mill at Sjølingstad 7 km west of Mandal city centre.
