Escort is available past Stad - departs from Måløy. Fast passengerboats depart twice daily for Bergen. Buses leave for Oslo three times daily, and Hareid/Ålesund. Experience Kannesteinen which has been shaped by the sea over thousands of years. Kråkenes lighthouse, cafe and accommodation 42 m above sea level. Refviksanden which has been chosen as Norway's finest swimming beach. Vågsberget, an old hospitable trading station from 1636.
Silda, an idyllic pearl in Sildagapet near Stad.
Using Måløy as a starting point you can hire a car and drive (ca 2 hours) to Briksdalen to experience the glacier or to the summer ski centre on Strynefjellet.

Winter price: NOK 100 + electricity per night. Can take 2-3 boats for laying up, price then as agreed.
Ice free harbour. Can arrange inspection of laid-up boats and send message to owner in case of irregularities.

APPROACH:
Expect strong currents when approaching from south, especially when passing Måløybrua. The current will always flow due north at up to 3 knots through Måløysundet and Ulvesundet..
Speed limit of 6 knots between Måløystraumen (Måløybrua) and Leistholmen, and 10 knots between Leistholmen and Ulvesund Lighthouse.
